NewFIT Program Policies and Procedures Change

 

Morgantown, WV - There is only one phone number to call to get a ride in Monongalia County. The NewFIT Program provides transportation to anyone who may be in need. If you are covered by Medicaid or Assistive Services, need a ride to work or training, medical appointments or shopping NewFIT can pick you up.

Beginning on Monday November 18, changes to the Policies and Procedures will go into effect. For details of these changes and for a copy of the procedures please visit http://www.busride.org/FaresPrograms/NewFIT.aspx or call 304-296-3869.

The NewFIT program is a joint venture between Mountain Line Transit and In Touch & Concerned and is a program funded in part by Federal Transit Administration New Freedom Grant Funds.

After evaluating 56 drivers in 10 performance categories, the Authority is pleased to recognize Ron McCourt as Driver of the Month for March 2026. We also wish to recognize Tom Jones, Shawn Deval, Daniel Shorter and Andrew Kapper. All of these employees are being recognized for their demonstrated driving skills, safety, public relations, assistance to fellow drivers and maintaining route schedules in the course of their daily performance.
