5311(f) Grant Application 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Monongalia County Urban Mass Transportation Authority (MCUMTA) of 420 DuPont Rd, Morgantown, WV 26582 is applying for a grant under 49 U.S.C. Section 5311(f). A general description of the grant proposal is as follows:


MCUMTA is requesting 5311(f) grant for the purpose of daily carrying intercity passengers between Pittsburgh, PA Airport and Pittsburgh, PA Greyhound Station to Clarksburg, WV. Service between these points includes Fairmont, WV, Morgantown, WV and Waynesburg, PA, Bridgeville, PA, Saltwell, WV Washington, PA, Westover, WV.


MCUMTA is requesting 5311(f) grant funding of $295,272 with a local match net of direct project revenue of $295,272. No persons, families, or businesses will be displaced by this project. The proposed project will not have a significant environmental impact upon the service area.


MCUMTA has taken into account the needs of disabled and elderly persons in that all of our units are wheel chair and ADA equipped for easy boarding and accommodations, as it has been for several years.


The purpose of this notice is to afford affected citizens, private transportation providers and other interested agencies an early opportunity to examine the proposal and offer comments, and/or recommendations on the overall scope of the proposed project. The grant proposal will be available for public inspection and comments for 15 days from the original publication date April 19, 2019 to May 4, 2019 between the hours of 8:00 AM and 5:00 OPM at MCUMTA offices located at 420 DuPont Rd, Morgantown, WV 26501-2309.
