Route 6 Gold Line Service Restored
Beginning November 23, 2025

Morgantown, WV- Due to WVU’s reduction in funding for service in July 2025, Rt. 6 Gold Line Sunday service was cut back to only Sundays while WVU was in session. Public comments reflected the value of the continuation of service throughout the year, therefore the authority will be reinstating service to Rt. 6 Gold Line while WVU is not in service. Beginning Sunday November 23, 2025 the Sunday service throughout the year will resume.

Rt. 6 Gold Line Sunday service previously advertised to not run during Thanksgiving, Winter, and Spring Breaks will continue to run during those times. The planned service cuts were requested by WVU, but after receiving public feedback regarding these changes, MLTA is reinstating Sunday service for the entire year.
