Mountain Line to Lower Flag in Honor of Driver
Mountain Line Transit authority is saddened by the tragic and untimely death of Bus Driver John Murray who lost his life in a motorcycle accident September 20. In memory of John, the Transit Authority has lowered its Mountain Line Flag and John’s co-workers will wear black arm bands and observe a moment of radio silence at 1:15 pm on Monday, September 28.
John served the community as an Authority Bus Driver for more than two and a half years and created many fond memories for his friends, colleagues and passengers. John has been noted as the type of person to reach out to new employees and help them “learn the ropes” and he was a true asset to our community and Mountain Line Transit Authority. John was just ranked as a top five performer for the month of August in the monthly performance evaluation of all thirty-three Mountain Line Drivers.

All of these employees are being recognized for their demonstrated driving skills, safety, public relations, assistance to fellow drivers and maintaining route schedules in the course of their daily performance.
