Mountain Line Service Expansions
Morgantown, WV-
Last night the Mountain Line Transit Authority Board approved of the following service changes beginning in July.
Evening services will begin July 3rd, 2017 as follows:
Rt 4 Orange Line
- Two additional evening trips departing the depot at 6:10 PM and 7:10 PM.
Rt 6 Gold Line – Two additional evening trips departing the depot at 6:10 PM and 7:10 PM.
Rt 7 Red Line
– One additional trip will depart the depot at 6:30 PM.
Rt 8 Tyrone
– Two additional partial trips departing the depot at 6:15 PM and 7:00 PM will travel out to Brookhaven and back.
Rt 9 Purple
– Two additional evening trips departing the depot at 6:30 PM and 7:30 PM will travel out to Suncrest Town Centre.
Rt 11 Cassville
– Two additional trips departing the depot at 6:10 PM and 7:10 PM.
Weekend services will begin on Sunday July 23rd, 2017 as follows:
Rt 6 Gold Line
– Weekend service will begin at 7:00 AM with the last trip departing at 7:10 PM, this service will match the Monday through Friday service.
Rt 7 Red Line
- Weekend service will begin at 7:30 AM with the last trip departing at 7:10 PM, this service will match the Monday through Friday service.
Rt 8 Tyrone
– Saturday partial trips to Brookhaven will be added at 9:00AM, 10:00 AM, 12:00 PM, 1:00 PM, 3:00 PM, 4:00 PM and 6:40 PM. Current trips to Cheat Lake will continue at 8:00 AM, 11:00 AM, 2:00 PM, and 5:10 PM.
Rt 11 Cassville
– Saturday service will run from 8:00 AM through 7:00 PM leaving the depot hourly. Sunday service will run from 11:00 AM through 7:00 PM leaving the Westover Terminal hourly.

After evaluating 56 drivers in 10 performance categories, the Authority is pleased to recognize Ron McCourt as Driver of the Month for March 2026. We also wish to recognize Tom Jones, Shawn Deval, Daniel Shorter and Andrew Kapper. All of these employees are being recognized for their demonstrated driving skills, safety, public relations, assistance to fellow drivers and maintaining route schedules in the course of their daily performance.
