DOWNTOWN TRANSFER PASS TO REPLACE FREE RIDES
Morgantown, WV-
Mountain Line Transit Authority will begin a new procedure for passengers catching the bus in the Downtown Morgantown area. Beginning January 2, passengers can request a Transfer Ticket from their driver when traveling to the Garrett Street Depot if they plan to transfer to another bus to reach their final destination. Passengers need only ask their driver for a Transfer Ticket when they board the bus and pay the standard 75 cent fare or use a 15-ride pass. Previously, the Authority offered free rides to the Depot to assist passengers crossing University Avenue, a practice implemented before the installation of crosswalks and pedestrian stop requests at key intersections along the busy roadway separating Downtown from the Garrett Street facility. The service area affected includes pickup points along Spruce Street, High Street, Foundry and Kirk Streets for anyone traveling to the Downtown Garrett Street Depot.
For information on all Mountain Line bus routes and schedules, riders can call 304-291-RIDE (7433) during normal hours of operation or visit www.busride.org. You can also follow Mountain Line on Facebook and Twitter.
### Thank you.
