MOUNTAIN LINE TRANSIT WINTER BREAK SCHEDULE

Date: Monday October 16, 2023 Contact: Maria Smith, General Manager Phone: (304) 291-7433 Micro Transit To Replace Rt 14 Mountain Heights and Rt 15 Grafton Road Service Elimination Public Hearings Morgantown, WV- Service on routes 14 Mountain Heights and 15 Grafton Road will be eliminated beginning January 15 th 2024. Service is now being provided by the RideMon service. Mountain Line’s Micro Transit service called RideMon is available to the residents in the areas of Route 14 and 15. Riders within the zone are able to request a trip by using the RideMon Mobile App Monday through Saturday 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM. An accessible vehicle will pick them up from their requested location and will connect the rider to one of three locations with high frequency service. These three locations are Sabraton Goodwill, Mountaineer Mall and Hornbeck Wal-Mart. The fare for each one-way trip will remain $0.75 cents per ride, per passenger. Rider passes may be applied but require contacting us directly. We are asking for residents to reach out to us regarding any challenges this route elimination may cause or any barriers they may have to the RideMon service. Residents can reach out to us in any of the following ways: Public Hearings will be held at the Mountain Line Administrative Office at 420 DuPont Road, Westover, WV 26501 on the following dates: · Wednesday, October 18, 2023 – 12:00PM · Wednesday, November 15, 2023 – 12:00PM & 1:30PM · Wednesday, December 20, 2023 – 12:00PM Online Public Comment Form is available at: https://www.busride.org/rt-14-and-15-service-elimination Call our Mobility Coordinator at 304.296.3869 with questions or for training on the RideMon service. MOUNTAIN LINE TRANSIT AUTHORITY Press Release Date: July 21, 2023 Contact: Maria Smith, Acting General Manager Phone: (304) 296-3680 RideMon service now available on ridemon app Morgantown, WV- Mountain Line has been providing the RideMon service to residents along the Mountain Heights (Rt. 14) and Grafton Road (Rt. 15) bus routes since May of 2022. The microtransit service has been provided through the Uber app however beginning Monday the service will have its own app called RideMon. RideMon is now powered by Spare who created the while label RideMon app. The new platform allows riders within the zone to request a ride through the app exactly the way an Uber works only Mountain Line provides all of the service and it’s only $.75 cents. The Spare app also integrates with our local routes providing smooth trip planning from the RideMon service to the local route service. The three main connection points are Hornbeck Road Walmart, Mountaineer Mall and Sabraton Goodwill. Riders can also schedule rides for later dates or set up subscription service. The app is available on both Android and iOS devices and can be found by searching “RideMon”. Trip fare will remain $0.75 cents per ride, per passenger. RideMon will operate from 7:30AM – 5:30PM Monday through Saturday. Local service on Mountain Heiths (Rt. 14) and Grafton Road (Rt. 15) will continue while we continue onboarding riders to RideMon.
