Pittsburgh, Pa. – June 14, 2018. David Bruffy, General Manager of the
Mountain Line Transit Authority in Morgantown, W.Va., was named
today the 2018 Community Transportation Manager of the Year by the
Community Transportation Association of America (CTAA) at its
annual EXPO – held this year in Pittsburgh, Pa. – in recognition for his
success in cultivating local investment for Morgantown’s transit

Morgantown, including a successful levy measure in 2016 (requiring approval
from a supermajority of voters – a first in Monongalia County), allowing
continued growth a the system that carries more than 1.25 million annual riders,
with ridership growing annually by 20 percent,” said McDonald. ‘They partner
extensively with West Virginia University – of which he’s a proud alum, have
installed a solar power plant, were recognized in 2015 for the best safety,
maintenance and marketing programs in the state, launched the Transportation
Options for Veterans initiative in 2011 and more recently the NewFIT Program in
