Campus PM -- The High Street mid-block pick up spot near Wall Street is eliminated and the designated pickup spot on High Street will now be the Courthouse Square. This change will be in effect for the remainder of the Fall WVU Semester. This change has been made at the request of the City of Morgantown to assist in late night congestion mitigation and improved public safety along the High Street corridor.

Mountain Line Transit Authority is announcing expanded service on the Gold Line, thanks to a new public-private partnership with the management and ownership of Mountain Valley Apartments.
Effective August 1, the Gold Line service will increase to 30-minute frequency during the day and new, hourly service will be extended until 9:55 PM during weekday evenings. Additionally, the route will now travel from VanVoorhis Road to service Mountain Valley Apartments Monday through Friday from 6:55 AM until 9:55 PM, and will provide a 10 minute trip between the Mountain Valley residential complex and the Evansdale Towers facilities with a stop between at Mountaineer Station. The newly aligned route will provide twice hourly service from Unity Manor and will connect directly to Ruby and Mon General Hospital.
As an added benefit of this additional Gold Line service to Ruby Hospital, service to Ruby via the Red Line has been eliminated, help improve Red Line adherence to its scheduled stop times.

Mountain Line Transit Authority is announcing an addition of service to the Orange and Southside Routes. The demo route will combine these two routes and run under the name of Route 4 Orange Line. This new service will operate from 7:00 AM until 11:00 PM Monday through Saturday. This route is being funded through a onetime 12 month demonstration grant. Route 5 Southside is being combined with the Orange Line to provide seamless hourly service to South Park, White Park, Mountaineer Mall, Morgantown Mall, University Town Center and Star City, The Coliseum, Towers, CAC, Beechurst and Unity Manor.
In the evening the route will travel from University Town Center through Star City via University Ave, down Beechurst through downtown to South Park, MHS, White Park and the Mountaineer Mall. Evening connections to the Morgantown Mall can be made via Rt 2 Downtown PM Mall in front of the Warner Theater. New, direct, non-transfer trips are now available such as a trip from Star City through to the Senior Monongalians Center at the Mountaineer Mall, or from Unity Manor to the University Town Center.
In order to integrate timings with the Orange Line the Green Line will be reversed to travel Southbound at the top of the hour towards Dorsey Knob Park and travel the bottom of the hour through Westover to the Morgantown Mall.
These changes will go into effect beginning Monday August 1, 2011. At the end of the 12 month demo period the Orange Line and Southside will resume prior schedules unless additional funding is acquired.

Mountain Line Transit Authority is announcing a service change to bus Route 29 the Grey Line, Mountain Line’s intercity bus route, connecting north central West Virginia to the Pittsburgh area. This change will affect pickup and drop-off points in Harrison and Marion counties beginning Monday April 11, 2011. For new stop locations click here.

Mountain Line Transit Authority is announcing a service change to bus Route 30 West Run beginning on Monday October 18, 2010. From 7:10 AM until 8:30 PM all trips will travel downtown to University Avenue. The bus will no longer travel to the Mountaineer Station on the :50 after-the-hour run. The Grey Line route will now be more accomodating to connections with Greyhound, Amtrak, and Megabus trips to Chicago, New York, Washington D.C. and Atlanta. There are still two runs per day, but they are more spread apart for those wanting to commute or spend a day in Pittsburgh. Mountain Line Transit Authority is announcing service reductions and elimination of services beginning August 20, 2010. These service changes are a result of funding reduction/reallocation by third party contractors including West Virginia University (WVU). Details of the changes are as follows:
Orange Line (Route 4) – Elimination of Sunday service year round
UTC Express (Route 47) – Elimination of service
Mountain Line Transit will hold a public hearing regarding these service changes on Wednesday May 19, 2010 during the regularly scheduled Citizens Advisory Committee Meeting at 1:00 PM at the Westover Facility. We encourage the public to come out and share their comments. Posted below is an online survey for those who are unable to make it to the public hearing.
The final decision about these route changes will be made at the Mountain Line Board Meeting on Wednesday June 9, 2010 at 6:00 PM at the Westover Facility.
