POETRY IS ON THE MOVE IN MORGANTOWN

Morgantown, WV- Beginning this Thursday the Mountain Line Transit Poetry on the Move Program will launch in Morgantown.  Poems from local poets will be posted on the interior of several Mountain Line buses.  Poems reflect transit, the spirit of our community, West Virginia and Morgantown.  The goal of Poetry in Motion was for our riders to be able to view poetry and artwork while reaching their destination and to give exposure to these local artists. To see the selected pieces please visit busride.org.

The program could not have worked without the help of a few key people: Thanks to Ted Webb of the Morgantown Poets who helped make connections with featured poets; Ro Brooks from the Monongalia Arts Center and local artist Sean Conroy the illustrator responsible for capturing the spirit of each poem.

Mountain Line will soon be accepting submissions for its second edition of Poetry on the Move.  Please check www.busride.org for more information.            Ride the Bus today and check out this local talent.

For information on all Mountain Line bus routes and schedules, riders can call 304-291-RIDE (291-7433) during normal hours of operation or visit WWW.BUSRIDE.ORG.   You can also follow Mountain Line on Facebook and Twitter.
