This past February a Mountain Line Transit/Greater Morgantown Area Youth Commission transportation program kicked off allowing area high school students to ride local buses for free.
The first month of the program recorded 288 riders and the second month’s ridership more than doubled with 606 rides. The Youth Commission just approved funding to continue the program into the summer. This is a big step for high school students giving them the ability to get to summer jobs, camps, movies, pools, and many other activities around town during the summer months.
The High School Ride Free Program does not include the Grey Line service that runs daily from Clarksburg to Pittsburgh. All Mountain Line schedules and maps are available on WWW.BUSRIDE.ORG and the web site also features a new Trip Planner using Google Transit. For more information about the Mountain Line Transit Authority, call 291-RIDE (7433) or visit the website at WWW.BUSRIDE.ORG.

Thank you.
