Mountain Line Transit Authority Honors Employees at Annual Banquet

Morgantown, WV- Mountain Line Transit Authority honored exceptional efforts by its employees at a banquet held at Archie’s Lakehouse on March 18, 2007. The event was sponsored by National Bus Sales and CINTAS.

Darryl White, Steven Reese, Jake Cress, Mary Rogers, William Smith, and James Huffman were commended for being accident free drivers in 2006. William Smith was also recognized as the record holder for the Driver with the longest Accident Free Record. Paul Gutta, Jr. received the Spirit of Mountain Line Award. Other awards in customer relations, safety, route knowledge and precision were presented.

The Authority also recognized Thomas Jones, Terry Lewis, Tom Bennett and James Huffman for outstanding performance in 2006. All of these employees are being recognized for their demonstrated driving skills, safety, public relations, assistance to fellow drivers and maintaining route schedules in the course of their daily performance.

Robert Lee won Mountain Line’s 2006 Driver of the Year award for the second consecutive year. Mountain Line Transit named David Holman as the 2006 Maintenance Employee of the Year, and Lesleigh Hunter as the 2006 Administrative Employee of the Year. Holman, Lee and Hunter will be nominated to the state level awards presented by the West Virginia Department of Public Transit in August 2007.
