Mountain Line Transit Authority, since its beginnings, has operated as a flag down system, where a rider could flag down a bus anywhere along it's route by standing in a safe spot and waving at the bus. Late 2009 Mountain Line Transit began it's first Express Route called the West Run Express, this route provides quick service between the West Run Complex and the Downtown Campus and the Mountaineer Station. Express routes only stop at the designated stops listed on the time tables in order to keep to the tight schedules.
